Come prendersi cura dei capi in cotone block print

Block printed cotton – care instructions

Block printing is an ancient, handcrafted textile printing technique, entirely executed by hand. Each garment is unique and carries with it the time, patience, and craftsmanship of its maker. For this reason, it’s important to give your garment a bit of extra care to preserve its beauty and the vibrancy of its colors over time.

Pre-wash treatment

Before the first wash, we recommend soaking the garment in a basin of very cold water with one cup of white vinegar. Vinegar acts as a natural fixative, helping to set the dyes. Let the garment soak for about two hours, then proceed with the washing instructions below.

Washing

Always hand wash separately in cold water using gentle, natural detergents. It is possible that some color may bleed during the first few washes. For this reason, it is essential to avoid washing the garment with other items.

Recommended detergents

Avoid harsh detergents that contain bleach, enzymes, fabric softeners, or are specifically formulated for wool. Instead, choose neutral, natural, or specially formulated detergents for delicate fabrics.

Drying

Air dry the garment in the shade or inside out, avoiding direct sunlight, which can gradually fade the colors. Do not tumble dry.

Ironing

We recommend using a steam iron on medium heat. Iron the garment inside out.
